Best Pregnancy Pillow 2017: Reviews of the Top 5

Have you ever felt completely uncomfortable and unable to sleep in the midst of a pregnancy? Of course you did, all of us mothers have! There are many periods of discomfort and inconveniences during pregnancy, but your sleep shouldn’t be one of them. When I first found out about the maternity pillow, I was in awe. How could I not have known about this before? If this is your first time reading up on it and are moderately interested in buying one, don’t even second guess yourself. Owning one of the best pregnancy pillows is absolutely essential because the comfort and support they give you is unmatched.

Throughout my second and third pregnancy, I stocked up on several of these and let’s just say the nights were much easier than my first pregnancy without them (especially in your third trimester when you are so bloated). Today, I will be showing three of my favorite and in my opinion┬áthe top pregnancy pillows that I have come across throughout the years. Before we begin, let me explain why these are definitely necessary during pregnancy just in case you are still on the fence about them.

Four Reasons To Buy A Great Pregnancy Pillow

  1. Comfort:

This is the most obvious and sometimes the sole reason why women buy these pillows. Regular pillows just don’t have a conducive shape to adequately support a pregnant lady’s body the right way. Maternity pillows do.

  2. Relieves back pain and whole body strain:

Pre and post natal body pillows have been proven to relieve pain on vital parts of the body, such as your back, legs, hips, shoulders and even neck that otherwise would become very tense during pregnancy. You can prevent bad posture from forming because of your baby bump as well. Perhaps the most important function of these pillows is that the greatly reduce sciatica during pregnancy.

  3. Increases Circulation of Blood:

This is a very underrated reason and one that is not talked about so much. A great pillow will also do a solid job of increasing circulation throughout your body so that you can stay relaxed and positively energetic.

  4. Prevents Heartburn and Carpal Tunnel:

Yes some of these pillows actually have the capability to prevent heartburn, carpal tunnel and even nasal congestion. These are pesky and annoying side effects of being pregnant and they can be diminished with the right pillow to rest on.

Now you see that a maternity body pillow is not just for convenience and comfort, but they also are very beneficial to your overall health from your first trimester and on as well. Okay, let’s get down to the nitty gritty now.

Concluding Thoughts

There you have it, those are the top 5 pregnancy pillow reviews to make your sleep a much more soothing experience. From a medical standpoint, it is a great idea to have one of these during pregnancy and more doctors are starting to recommend it to women because of all the health benefits they provide. There are others out there, and I have tried a bunch of them but they just aren’t worth it in terms of quality and design. These five are the best overall and you should have no issues with any of them.

Some of you may be using multiple pillows right now and just barely getting by. Once you try one of these specially designed pillows, you will soon realize that utilizing three or four pillows just doesn’t yield the same results due to the fact that they don’t contour to your body the same way and sometimes even end up getting scattered during your sleep cycle.

If you have never slept with one, I urge all of you women to try it. You will have trouble going back to regular pillows after your baby is born, promise!
